Candace Marie Gonzales

Candace is a certified trauma-informed yoga instructor. She is the founder of Phases of Healing. It is her passion to provide a safe space for healing and self-care through the practice of asana and pranayama. Candace offers women’s trauma-informed restorative and slow flow practices.
After finding healing and nervous system care through trauma-informed yoga, Candace became dedicated to sharing this practice with women in our community. She received her 200-hour yoga instruction certification as well as an Associates Degree with a women’s studies focus, from Portland Community College. She continued her education and received her trauma-informed training and certification from the Transcending Sexual Trauma Through Yoga Organization.
The core frameworks of trauma- informed care include safety, trust, choice, collaboration, empowerment and cultural competence. Candace strives to offer these frameworks in every practice and to every survivor she has the privilege of meeting.
When she is off the mat, you can find Candace on adventures with her two amazing children, volunteering as a victims advocate, shopping for rocks, beads and plants, and listening to Taylor Swift.
